The script works fine on some sites, for example these work

But doesn't work on others, for example I don't get any results for these

Yet it works here:

Very strange.

That is very weird. I have seen this issue in the past. I feel like maybe certain repos aren't indexed by GitHub's search engine (I think SOLR) until a search or 2 has been performed.

For instance, I know I searched one of my repos in the past, and got no results, then a day or two later, I started seeing results.

Anyways, all the bookmarklet does is use GitHub's built in search. So for your first example, search term: "Axisx" and repo: "randym/axisx", the following URL is hit for search results:

https://github.com/search?q=Axlsx&repo=randym/axlsx&type=Code

As you can see, there are no results, so I won't really be able to "fix" this.

I guess I could add "google results" or something. Would that be useful? The results may "look" a bit funky.

https://www.google.com/#q=inurl:https://github.com/randym/axlsx/tree/master/+Axlsx&hl=en&prmd=imvns&filter=0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb

Brings up 4 results for me.

Maybe I could "fallback" to a different search engine if the GitHub link returns no results...

I also forgot to mention: I'd like to check your search results in a day or two, and see if they have started returning results.

Thanks for the explanation, I think I now understand why it works in some cases and not others. In my case, I'd rather not have the google results, their indexing of Github files seems to be too inconsistent. The Github search engine seems to either completely work or completely not work, which is preferable to me. You've resolved the issue for me, thanks.

Sorry for the delay on this. I guess I'll close the issue. I was hoping to check back and see that some of the searches you listed now have results, but they still don't seem to be getting results.

I'm not sure what's up w/ that. Anyways, you can open back up if you find another issue, or what to request a new feature.

Thanks for checking this out!
