In the following flow, the end state of the system w/ SCardReconnect is wrong.

SCardReconnect(..., SCARD_RESET_CARD, ...)
SCardTransmit(...) # Returns SCARD_W_RESET_CARD

SCardReconnect is supposed to 'clear out the state' such as if the card were reset by an external agent and leave the handle in a good state.

The following "works":
SCardReconnect(..., SCARD_RESET_CARD, ...)
SCardReconnect(..., SCARD_LEAVE_CARD, ...)

Not sure if this is the correct bug-board for PCSC on 10.10 due to lack of source release, let me know if/where I should repost.

Hello Thomas,

Now that Yosemite is out this is the good place to report bugs (no need to keep them secret). I hope the source code of the SmartCardServices? to be released "soon" by Apple here and at

You should also open a radar bug at to help Apple set the bug fixing priorities.
