local package alias with remote imports broken

so i have my source set to remote but one of my packages is local (as part of a monorepo structure) and when i try and import it, it looks for @collaborated/interact/index.html even though i have this set in my aliases: "@collaborated/interact": "../interact/dist/index.js",
i also have preact aliases for react so its not that
