Description section not being detected.

I used the Readme generator from GenerateWP, but the Description (long description) section does not display in the preview and the warnings include "Consider adding a "Description" section."

So .. what OS are you on? vs code version number ? .. etc (?)

Oddly, in your screenshot the issues are also listed in the Problems tab down below, but I only see the warnings above the preview, as in my screenshot. There's nothing listed in my Problems tab.

@shoelaced, you get the warnings when you edit the file or run the WordPress Readme: Validate Readme command. Anyway, I'm more concerned (atm) about the rendering of the readme.txt, i.e. the missing long description in your example. I'll check if I can do a test on windows 11.
