Install

Clone the directory and install with the command below

(cd dotfiles/; ./install.sh)

other useful programs for devoloping

• PEP8 to check styling for python files
• Tig for better visualization og git history for files
  • Tig blame can be used as an alternative to git blame
• Ack (grep -r) to search content in files
• Meld to handle merging conflicts in git

Colors not working?

Colors are not enabled by default in macOS Terminal, so you will need to enable colors in order for this theme to work. To do this, append the following to your ~/.bashrc file, then restart Terminal

export CLICOLOR=1
export LSCOLORS=ExFxBxDxCxegedabagacad

This one line will do that for you. Copy and paste it into a Terminal window, hit return, then restart Terminal.

echo -e '\n# Add colors to Terminal\nexport CLICOLOR=1\nexport LSCOLORS=GxFxCxDxBxegedabagaced' >> ~/.bashrc

I3

my dotfiles are mainly made for i3, so here is some tricks for using I3

network

nmtui // for graphical network interface
nmcli dev wifi // show wifi list in terminal
nmcli device wifi connect (wifi-name) // to connect to a wifi

to be able to connect to eduroam

Also good to install fir I3

sudo dnf install i3 i3status dmenu i3lock xbacklight feh conky

For making the lockscreen work, you need scrot

dnf install scrot

for using i3 blocks on fedora it need to be installed

sudo dnf -y copr enable wyvie/i3blocks
sudo dnf install i3blocks
sudo dnf install pavucontrol
sudo dnf install light
sudo dnf install redshift

sudo dnf install https://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-29.noarch.rpm https://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-29.noarch.rpm sudo dnf install ffmpeg to make videos work

Disable Use Option as Meta key in Terminal » Preferences » Settings » Keyboard.
