BETACurrent Release: Rudy v0.9 –
Rudy is currently under active development to bring it up to a 1.0 release.
I’ve put a lot of effort into making Rudy safe and practical for early adopters. In fact, Rudy has been in production used in a private beta since 0.3. That said, there are a few reasons why you probably don’t want to use Rudy in production right now:
- Unhandled exceptions. Rudy is a relatively new project (est 2009-02-24). There are going to be edge cases which I had not anticipated. If you find one let me know!
- Incomplete functionality. Not all features are fully implemented. The most significant example is backup maintenance. It’s possible to create disk backups and restore disks from them, but there is currently no functionality to delete them.
What is stable?
As of the 0.9.0 release, the following components are considered stable:
- Ruby API
- Machines and routines configuration syntax
- Command-line interface
