Code page

E-Hern Lee edited this page Jan 15, 2019 · 22 revisions

Charcoal uses a custom code page. This means that its commands can be considered to take one byte apiece, even though many of them are Unicode characters.

Note that the byte 0xFF indicates the start of a multi-byte character, which encodes all Unicode codepoints not in Charcoal's codepage.

The code page is currently under construction. Expect ongoing changes and additions.
