A digital front-end for Alphasense analogue front-end (AFE) products for use with the Raspberry Pi 3 and Raspberry Pi Zero processor boards.

Interface board between Raspberry Pi and environmental sensors

  • Alphasense analogue front-end (AFE) supporting up to four A4 electrochemical sensors, or three electrochemical sensors plus a photoionisation detector (PID) for volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • Alphasense Optical Particle Counter (OPC models N2/N3/R1)
  • South Coast Science SPI non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) board
  • South Coast Science Sensirion SHT (open to air) T/rH sensor

Host interface

  • Compatible with Raspberry Pi HAT standards (except outer dimensions)
  • Header: SPI, I2C, uses no GPIO pins
  • Compatibility: Raspberry Pi 3, Raspberry Pi Zero

Power

  • Powered from Raspberry Pi header
  • 3.6 V non-rechargeable lithium battery for analogue front-end continuous power
