Using 1.5b6 - the "Check for Updates" item is grayed out in Mountain Lion - anyone else have this issue? I've searched, couldn't find anything.

"If you’d like, make a “Check for Updates…” menu item in the application menu; set its target to the SUUpdater instance and its action to checkForUpdates:."

i found menu item target to bind SUUpdater.

works for me

Yes, it should work if you did it correctly. Since it does not I am guessing it is more an issue with what you did than with Sparkle.

I tried it in 10.8, exactly this (http://www.cocoanetics.com/2012/11/in-house-mac-app-distribution-with-sparkle/) steps. Its grayed out for me too..!

Menu is usually grayed out when the application can't load the framework for some reason.

Please check the Console.app for hints why it failed to load the framework and check installation instructions in the wiki.
