Easiest Way to Disable Sparkle #224

I got Sparkle going about 9 months ago in my app and love it!
Question: What is the cleanest way to disabled it from auto-checking.

When I compile my app it makes the demo mode and then I wrap codemeter encryption around the .app to make the usb dongle version also from the same code.
The problem I have is both versions will try and auto-update from the same appcast which will over rite one of the versions with the wrong one.

So what I need is either.....
A. an easy way to disable Sparkle by commenting out a few lines of code when the program detects it's running in demo mode so it never checks ever.
(this is probably the easiest)

B. Allow Sparkle updating of each version somehow so I guess they'd need to be seen as unique in someway.

Any suggestions how to pull this off easily?

I think the easiest way to deal with this is for you to make two targets in Xcode: one which produces the demo app, and one which produces the encrypted app. For the latter target, you can have Xcode run the scripts which actually encrypt the app, and you then you can have a separate Info.plist for the encrypted target which points at a different appcast.

thx Andy for the info!
I will forward this to my main coder!
