@ekaansh

Hello,

I have an app target in OS X which is signed by a dev certificate. The app is also sandboxed. When I build & archive the target without the dev certificate and update the app using the sparkle prompt, it updates smoothly.

However, when I update the signed & sandboxed version of the app, Sparkles throws the error.

Here are the logs

11/12/13 5:12:33.000 PM kernel[0]: Sandbox: sandboxd(810) deny mach-lookup com.apple.coresymbolicationd
11/12/13 5:12:34.062 PM sandboxd[810]: ([809]) (809) deny forbidden-exec-sugid
11/12/13 5:12:35.104 PM [792]: Sparkle Error: An error occurred while installing the update. Please try again later.
11/12/13 5:12:35.104 PM [792]: Sparkle Error (continued): Authenticated file copy from /var/folders/88/9qf36t4178z9xr3yw1shcmbr0000gn/T/com../ 198 Update/ to /Applications/ failed.

@hankinsoft

@ekaansh did you ever get this figured out? I'm having the same issue.

@ttscoff

I'm running into this as well. Any solutions?

@grouchal

You need to look at #363 and the yahooxpc branch. If I understand correctly this will all work properly in 1.9

@ttscoff

Thanks @grouchal !

@grouchal

@ttscoff no worries - only yesterday was I wondering how you were dealing with this issue with Marked 2 as you have gone sandboxed.

OK, mystery solved. We're going to add sandbox support soon.
