Gallery does not work with Internet Explorer #24

On Internet explorer thumbnails are shown in wrong size: height ist ok, width is too small. Clicking in the thumbnail does not show the image - only the border is displayed.
Example: http://doku.telmarkt.de/doku.php?id=anleitung:basis:exportadr

Which Internet Explorer version?

IE version is 8.0.6001.18702, Updateversionen 0, Verschlüsselungsstärke 128 bit, Copyright is dated 2009

Displaying the image is OK now. However the size of the thumbnails is correct only in compatibility view.

@mprins mprins Remove longdesc.
The longdesc attribute should be a uri which points to more information about the image (http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/struct/objects.html#adef-longdesc-IMG), this now produces invalid html. Also it does not remove/replace things like double quotes from the description field messing up syntax.
