Hi! I've been continuously developing my Game Boy emulator, SameBoy, since 2014 with the following goals:

  • Developing a cross platform emulation core with the highest accuracy possible
  • Creating an outstanding, feature-complete Game Boy emulator that macOS never had
  • Having a powerful Game Boy research and development environment

Eight years later, SameBoy can emulate differences between various SoC revisions and play games that emulators couldn't have played before. Dozens of previously unknown hardware quirks are now emulated and documented, and SameBoy is now used to both preserve the platform's past, and create its future by aiding indie game developers.
