Jimmy Praet opened BATCH-2253 and commented

In Spring Batch 3.0.0 the job scope was added (BATCH-1701). This issue and related pull request predated some other changes to Spring Batch such as the java config support.

The result is that there are some features currently missing for the job scope:

  • No automatic registration in AbstractBatchConfiguration
  • No @JobScope annotation
  • There may be others?

Affects: 3.0.0

Not sure if its relevant to this issue or not, but I'm having problems accessing Job Scope beans from different threads - see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24558703/multi-threaded-acces-to-job-scope-beans-in-spring-batch-3-0

David Geary, I made a comment on your StackOverflow issue. I have a hunch your issue would be unrelated to this issue. I'm closing this one since my PR is merged. If a new issue is needed for your situation, we can open one then.
