David J. M. Karlsen opened BATCH-2091 and commented

It's better to declare the ddl with varchar2(10 char) than varchar2(10) to be dependent on the number of characters and not bytes. This is important when using multibyte charsets like UTF8.

Pullrequest:
#222

Affects: 2.2.1, 3.0.9, 4.0.1, 4.1.0.RC1

    ("is duplicated by")
  • BATCH-2750 The EXIT_MESSAGE columns of BATCH_JOB_EXECUTION and BATCH_STEP_EXECUTION are defined with bytes and not characters on Oracle
