At the moment the SkipListener is the only StepListener that is not implemented with a no-op in the StepListenerSupport (which according to the javadoc should have a no-op for all StepListener-s). No problem as one can easily implement this in your own implementation, but extending the StepListenerSupport is a very convenient way to implement a StepListener.
