In a class like the JdbcBatchItemWriter, the write() method logs the number of items in the current chunk at debug level. I think this is extremely useful, and I typically do the same thing in my custom implementations.
However, other classes like JmsItemWriter do not have this behavior built-in. I would really like all implementations to apply consistent debug logging, so that users will know what to expect when they enable it and don't have to provide their own implementations of these simple classes just to get some logging in place.
