With 2.1 RC1, we detected a decrease in mapping performance by analyzing Spring Data MongoDB by about 25% (reduction from 1.9M mapped object reads to 1.5M object reads per second).

We should investigate what could have created such an impact in Spring Data Commons and verify the outcome through our typical converter benchmarks
