Jose Carlos opened DATAMONGO-2040 and commented

The docs have the dropDuplicates feature while creating indices which is no longer supported in MongoDB since 3.0.

Perhaps the docs should get a refresh at least pointing that out (if not removing the feature altogether)

Affects: 2.1 RC1 (Lovelace), 1.10.14 (Ingalls SR14), 2.0.9 (Kay SR9)

Thanks for the heads up - MongoDB 2.6 last supported it and that one is EOL since late 2016. Should be about time to remove the option.
