grf110 opened SPR-11336 and commented

  1. Spring data jpa(1.4.3) entityManagerFactory config mappingResources value="META-INF/orm.xml"
  2. Repository add query method and add jpql to orm.xml
  3. Call repository query method in service(@Transactional)
  4. Throw RollbackException(org.springframework.orm.jpa.JpaTransactionManager#doCommit #526)
  • Use @Query(' .. jpql ..') is ok!

Affects: 3.2.6

Not sure what this could be caused by - and not sure whether it's in the core JPA support or in Spring Data JPA either...

I'm afraid we need further debugging from your side there... or ideally an isolated test project that reproduces the issue.

The key question is where the rollback-only status is being caused. These might be very specific circumstances in your scenario.
