Saurabh Kumar opened SPR-11499 and commented

deployed new version of application on 2/24 . Since then application performance degraded tremendously.
Tivoli showing a very high active thread count causing no free thread for any incoming request.
Thread dump showing most of the thread are consumed by com.ibm.ws.classloader.CompoundClassLoader.loadClass.

Restart of application clearing the threads and reinitiate thread pool but within 15- 20 minutes all thre thread reused again .
Current resource allocation on JVM
Thread Pool : 300
Heap size : 1.2GB
DB connection : 300

Still the application is not able to recover from the high active thread counts.

Attached are the sample thread dump ( due to size limit) extracted during the high thread counts.over from the high active thread counts.

This should already be fixed as of 4.0.1 and 3.2.7: see #15968. Let me know whether any issues remain...

FYI, the current releases are 4.0.2 and 3.2.8, so please give either of those releases a try right away.
