Juergen Hoeller opened SPR-11969 and commented

JMS 2.0 introduces the notion of shared consumers (both durable and non-durable), which we're supporting in our CachingConnectionFactory already. We should also support them in our message listener containers, along the lines of the existing "durableSubscriptionName" and "subscriptionDurable" properties.

Affects: 4.0.5

  • #16574 CachingConnectionFactory should allow option to not cache shared consumers

Juergen,

I was already working on something just like this so I went ahead and merged my stuff and submitted a pull request. Take a look and see what you think.

Finally added as part of a larger revision of our JMS annotated endpoint support, just in time for 4.1 RC1. Available for regular message listener container setup as well as annotated endpoints now.
