Andy Clement opened SPR-12514 and commented

Gary Russell pointed me to this stack overflow thread:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27305070/why-is-spring-expression-compiler-mode-not-able-to-compile-the-following/27305922#27305922

It contains a verify error which indicates code generation has made a mistake in this scenario. Gary has given me some testcode that recreates it.

Turns out this was due to something that was a problem in 4.1.2 but was already fixed in 4.1.3 as part of another jira.
