When switching to hibernate 5 and using Hibernate with JPA, I get a "java.lang.AbstractMethodError: null".

I've found someone else has the same problem on Stackoverflow currently with no solution:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/31775410/spring4-2-1-hibernate5-integrate-abstract-method-error#

I tried Hibernate 5.0.0.CR1 and 5.0.0.CR4, both have the same issue.

Affects: 4.2 GA

Please do not cross post (there is an answer on the SO thread). Unless you think this is a bug in the framework and not in your setup, please create a stackoverflow thread with more details.

To be fair, the question on SO was created by somebody else, and remained unanswered for 7 days, the answer on SO appeared literally an hour before you closed my bug report. I merely referenced it out of convenience and to indicate others had the same issue.

However I can confirm that this is an issue with Jadira Usertype not Spring Framework.
