It looks like the toolkit itself is broken.

I've built it in Debian to check the toolkit, all ok there.. so the problem is in wx in my OS.

Which version and which backend? wxGTK? Mine is also broken (both 2.8 something and 3.0.3), but not so obviously.

I've detected these issues with wx-3.0.3 & wx-3.1.0.
With wx-3.0.4 and wx-3.1.1 lobby is displayed as it should be.
