Standout CMS Theme Tool

Makes it easier to develop a theme locally instead of working in the CMS. Really good for testing out features before going live on the client site.

Not really ready yet. :)

`gem install standoutcms-theme`

Run from command line. You can always run `standoutcms-theme` to get usage information.

Generate a new theme

`standoutcms-theme generate` Generates a new theme. Edit the config.yml file to get started.

Build a new version of the gem

We are using jeweler, so this is pretty easy.

`bundle exec rake install`

Fetching a theme from the server

`standoutcms-theme fetch`

If you don't want to start from scratch you could fetch all changes directly from the CMS framework.
This require a host and an API-key to be set in config.yml.

`host: '' api_key: 'abc123def456'`

Contributing to standoutcms-theme

  • Check out the latest master to make sure the feature hasn't been implemented or the bug hasn't been fixed yet.

  • Check out the issue tracker to make sure someone already hasn't requested it and/or contributed it.

  • Fork the project.

  • Start a feature/bugfix branch.

  • Commit and push until you are happy with your contribution.

  • Make sure to add tests for it. This is important so I don't break it in a future version unintentionally.

  • Please try not to mess with the Rakefile, version, or history. If you want to have your own version, or is otherwise necessary, that is fine, but please isolate to its own commit so I can cherry-pick around it.
