Empty folders do not have `..` parent folder #1679

Expected behaviour

Empty folders behave like all other folders and have a .. folder linking to the parent folder.

Actual behaviour

Instead, they're just empty. You have to click on the breadcrumbs below to go up a level via the UI.

Could be confusing for some users once I tell them to click on the .. folder to go up a level. (Also, .. is a bad label for a parent folder, it could use a more plain language name/explanation/label)

Steps to reproduce

Also, it would be nice to have an option to just create a new folder in the UI and not have it drop me into the new folder.
