while building the docs var_plots raises an exception with pandas
statsmodels\docs\source\plots\var_plots.py

my pandas version for this was 0.12.0

BTW: I'm back to 99 warnings when building html, but I switched python version for the doc build, and might have some outdated doc build dependencies.
I will try to get the number to be smaller again.

My mistake, I'm using now python 2.7 for development but didn't use it for the doc build.

I'm at 120 warnings :(
