Hello! Trying to install the statsmodel, I've end up with the following problem. Here is the full installation log:
"Reading http://pypi.python.org/simple/statsmodels/
Reading http://statsmodels.sourceforge.net/
Reading https://github.com/statsmodels/statsmodels/downloads
Best match: statsmodels 0.5.0
Downloading https://pypi.python.org/packages/source/s/statsmodels/statsmodels-0.
5.0.zip#md5=4ed78e8c6ababdcae0400fc0fe6f31a7
Processing statsmodels-0.5.0.zip
Running statsmodels-0.5.0/setup.py -q bdist_egg --dist-dir /tmp/easy_install-k6k24R/statsmodels-0.5.0/egg-dist-tmp-TYqSK0
error: SandboxViolation: os.open('/home/kuzaleks/.matplotlib/tmpQzq7nu', 131266, 384) {}

The package setup script has attempted to modify files on your system
that are not within the EasyInstall build area, and has been aborted.

This package cannot be safely installed by EasyInstall, and may not
support alternate installation locations even if you run its setup
script by hand. Please inform the package's author and the EasyInstall
maintainers to find out if a fix or workaround is available."

Any help is appreciated!)

It's fixed in master.

If you unzip the install archive you could make the change yourself or install master
one line in setup.py
https://github.com/statsmodels/statsmodels/pull/1075/files

duplicate of #1073
