Last updated 3 months ago, is it still a good idea to use this gem? #70

I've been using parent_id columns for a lot of my nested records. A few months ago I wrote down this gem to use in my next project...

Now that time has come. But upon revisiting the repository, I now notice the last update to this gem was 3 months ago. A lot has happened in the Rails community since then, so I am kind of hesitant to switch from the old parent_id technique to the new ancestry:text technique, especially since both are so different so switching mid-development isn't all that easy.

Any thoughts on this? I couldn't find any (active) alternatives so I guess it'll be either using this one or writing something (a lot less powerful) myself...

Thank you for the quick reply, nice to know things are working perfectly. I already decided to try it anyway and see how it goes.

Thank you for the great gem, saves a lot of people a lot of time reinventing the wheel :)
