README

A GWT backend server using Jetty that implements a Biologica server for the Geniverse SproutCore application.

Geniverse demos located here: http://geniverse.dev.concord.org/

Geniverse SproutCore application repository: http://github.com/psndcsrv/Geniverse-SproutCore

This Jetty server wraps the repo Geniverse-GWT which is loaded as a git submodule: http://github.com/psndcsrv/Geniverse-GWT

Setting up a local Geniverse Biologica GWT server running on port 8080

1) Clone repository and submodules

  git clone git://github.com/stepheneb/geniverse-gwt-server.git
  cd geniverse-gwt-server
  git submodule init
  git submodule update

4) Start the GWT server on port 8080.

  ./start_jetty.sh

You can check to see if the GWT server is running properly by opening this page:

  http://localhost:8080/geniverse/

You should see the following page:

     Web Application Starter Project

         [Generate Dragon]
        Script Button test

Clicking the "Generate Dragon" button should produce a dialog displaying some text characteristics of a dragon.
