imgfetcha

ston1x

imgfetcha is a Ruby gem for batch downloading images from a URL. It supports .jpg, .png, .gif, .heic file types but you can customize it in code. As of version 0.2.0, it supports octet-stream file types as well (you can use attachment links without image preview where downloading automatically begins).

Installation

Install the gem

gem install imgfetcha

Usage

mkdir ~/image_downloads
imgfetcha -i example_input.txt -o ~/image_downloads -v
imgfetcha --help

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
