Disk is either full or read only error

using xdm8beta with linux manjaro encrypted drive, have got the disk is full or read only error multiple times (where space is ok)

I'm also having this issue on Linux Mint 20.1, but only with large files (ex. a 10 GB file even though I have 30 GBs of free space and the disk is not encrypted). I tried changing both the temp and download folders to a different disk but no luck so far.
