Can not find whole world

Summary

cant not find string $r with whole word option

Expected behavior

string should be found

Steps to reproduce

1. add text asdf asdf $r asdf
2. CTRL+F
3. ALT+W
4. Write $r

Nothing is found

The "whole word" option in ST3's find panel with regex mode disabled is just a shortcut for a regex search \b + escaped search term + \b (although the status bar message that shows it couldn't be found shows it unescaped...), and \b\$ is never going to find a match if whitespace precedes the $ in the text to be searched, because the position between a space and a dollar doesn't count as a word boundary. Similar problems would occur if you searched for r$ too.

I guess the "whole word" option could be changed to use a more intelligent regex than just a word boundary, or alternatively it could be argued that $r isn't a word...

Imo the current behavior makes sense and $r isn't a word, but in some lanuages where $ is allowed or even required for variables, this might be surprising.
