Lower half of font is cut off when increasing tab_label font.size

Since it seems still an open issue, it would probably be worth adding it to the issue tracker. The problem is basically described in this forum topic: http://www.sublimetext.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8889

The following is the result when using

Tweaking various "content_margin" settings does not help. Same with "tab_height".

I have the same issue. It's particularly problematic for those of us with HiDPI screens, becaues it's impossible to read the default font size, and while you can increase the tab height, you can't increase the font size without the cut-off result. 😭

I would suggest bumping this to a major issue, because tabs are a really important feature in sublime, and for anyone on a laptop with a high-res display, this bug makes them unusable.

To reproduce edit any theme, set:

I can't believe that nobody else would have reported this if it was a problem for him since high-dpi screens are not that unusual, so I have an assumption that there is additionally something else going on.

Sure. Attached are three images that demonstrate what tabs look like on a HiDPI screen. Default size, then attempting to adjust font size up... then attempting taller tab and larger font. There are several people pointing out the problem in the forum post above. Also - The soda theme was converted to HiDPI, you can see the issue on the github page for it:

I've spent a few hours tweaking everything I possibly could in sublime in an attempt to correct it and I have surmised, like other people in the forum, etc... that this is a bug in the core somewhere.

To reproduce, grab any theme, and add the snippit I provided above and you will see the same thing. Granted, it may look odd on a non-HiDPI screen, but you will still see the issue.

Happening to me as well. Not sure if related but I'm using VirtualBox 5 on Windows 7 running Ubuntu 64-bit desktop 14.0 LTS as virtual machine. I installed Sublime Text 3 3083 as 64-bit deb package. I modified the theme class as above. I'm getting the same issue.

I have the same problem. With a 27" monitor at 2560×1440 resolution, I’d like to have a font size of 16, at least. But everything above 12 is cut off like this:

If I set "dpi_scale": 2.0, I get a ridiculous letter spacing in the editor:

I have the same problem. In my Asus N76VZ font in tabs really really small
