Add this to node standard library #12

It seems that if someone would develop a patch for node, they would accept it: joyent/node#1225 was not closed.

Of course, it would require a little rewrite: rename mkdirp to mkdirs for consistency etc.

This project is still getting patches somewhat often and putting it in core would make it so much more annoying and difficult to iterate on. Separately from that, I'm hesitant to suggest that core become larger when I see it becoming rather unpleasantly large lately.

I disagree with second point. mkdirs is very commonly included to standard libraries in various programming languages.

  • Python: os.makedirs
  • Ruby: fileutils.mkdir_p
  • Java: File.mkdirs

This is not going in the node standard library. Node is different from Python, Ruby, and Java.
