Summernote not converting URLs to clickable if leading bracket #4005

Describe the bug

I am using the Plus Editor in Standard notes derived from Summernote (c.f. standardnotes/forum#1260).

If I type:

(https://www.google.com 

Summernote's parser doesn't recognize this as a URL and hence doesn't make it clickable.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open a note that uses the Plus Editor
  2. Type a URL prefixed with a bracket.
  3. See it not become clickable

Expected behavior

What is your Operating System, Browser and Version and Summernote Version you are using:

This can help find and resolve any issues, place an x inside the brackets or if relevant elaborate after each choice.

  1. Operating System:

  2. Browser and Version:
    [ ] Brave
    [ ] Chrome
    [X] Edge
    [ ] Firefox

  3. Summernote Version, place an x inside the brackets:
    [ ] BS3
    [ ] BS4
    [ ] Lite
    [X] All
