SuperTuxKart 1.2 graphical issues when playing after suspending PC #4466

Description

  • Lighting will be messed up
  • Model gets removed from cart
  • Animations are messed up

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open SuperTuxKart
  2. Start race
  3. Suspend PC
  4. Unsuspend PC
  5. Issue will persist even after exiting race and starting a new one

Configuration

STK release version: 1.2

STK Source (PPA, distribution package, official binary, etc.): flathub

System: Pop!_OS 20.10

Graphics card: Nvidia RTX 2060 SUPER

CPU: Intel i9-9900k

I confim this also happens to me (I think it only happens on Nvidia cards)

driver problems cannot reproduce with mesa amd driver

Was able to reproduce part of the issue on my system (RTX 3060 Mobile, suspend via S0IX). On my system, I only got the issue on things being dark, and it was corrected after exiting the race. IMO this should probably probably a wontfix, since the renderer is moving to Vulkan after STK 1.3 anyways.
