Need the ability to specify the inclusion of the format extensions.

When parsing the API documentation inclusion .{format} is required for the javascript to parse the JSON.

When calling the API from the web app it would be great if that could be optionally exluded.

For some reason the .json works locally with NGINX but Web Brick on Heroku chokes on it.
