Trains

project to control my trainset with a raspberry pi remotely (the server)

Copyright © 2016 Samuel Walladge

installing

  • assumes python3, and running on a raspberry pi
git clone $REPO
cd $REPO
pyvenv env
source env/bin/activate
pip install -U -r requirements.txt
vim config.py # edit to suit

running

cd $REPO
source env/bin/activate
python app.py

I generally run the above in a tmux session for ease of debugging. A neat way is to install tmuxinator, setup a project to call the above commands, and use cron to run tmuxinator start the_project on reboot.
