Environment:
OS X 10.9.2 / Windows 7 x32
TagSpaces -- 1.7.8, 1.7.9 native clients / Chrome extension

Preconditions:
A non-empty TXT/MD file

Sequence:
0. open a txt/md file

  1. enter the edit mode
  2. click in the editor field, but do not edit the file
  3. command-z / ctrl-z ==>>

Actual:
File contents is deleted.

Expected:
File contents should remain intact.

Notes:

  • not replicated for HTML files
  • undo in the Mac Edit menu [osx/1.7.8] does not cause it

It is also reproducible under Linux and probably under Window. Interesting is that if you add something else in the document and then UNDO, it deletes only the newly added content.

Yep, reproducible in Windows 7 x32 as well. And in my case undo deletes everything -- new content, and then the original text.

Is it possible that if nothing changed inside the file the undo is applied in the file manager and the previous state of the file is restored?
