It seems I forgot to account for resetting some ring buffer counters properly if the user adjusts runtime speed. Only popped up as an issue when adding in the user adjustable speed slider.

This is one of those things where I need to sit down and redo some off the cross thread comms, as this is rather a lack of proper re-init api call than a proper race condition on its own, although this only PRESENTS as a race type event.
