I didn't check the code :-) but I was wondering what is the rationale behind having global assignments ? And on a second note why only 1 project ?

Background :

  • we have international suppliers, they have different public holidays, how can we synchronise efforts, have realistic schedules, etc
  • during commissioning activities (industrial automation projects), we don't allow holidays :-)
  • different projects are going on at the same time, which might use the same resources
  • different projects might have different "plant shut down" dates or other specific requirements
  • ...

These situations can not be accounted for in a straight forward way. It seems to me that "just changing the global assignments to project assignments and somehow allowing multiple projects" would solve this :-)

Really like your product, the philosophy behind it, functionality, reporting, etc. Unfortunately above mentioned items make it "unusable" for us :-( ...without risking my head that is :-)
