pbars Build Status

A simple python 3 module to show progress bar animation on your terminal

Python Version Supported

Downloading and installing

if you have added pip3 to your enviroment variable

pip3 install pbars

from github

  1. git clone https://github.com/tbhaxor/pbars.git or simply download the zip
  2. change the directory to code (cd code)
  3. install the package (python setup.py install)

Arguments

Argument Name (R)equired or (O)ptional Description
label R Accepts a string - Label of Progress Bar
length R Accepts an integer - Length (horizontal) of Progress Bar
total R Accepts an integer - Total Value (for percentage)
style O - By Default ascii Accepts a string - Display style of progress bars
fill O - By Default = Accepts a string of 1 byte - Progress fill character

How to use

  1. import ProgressBar
from pbars import ProgressBar
  1. make an instance of ProgressBar , here using just an example
pbar  = ProgressBar("Downloading", 30, 550, fill="+")
  1. call Progress method on every iteration
current = 50  # at some instance of time
pbar.Progress(current)
