Necessary explaination on introduction section #829

I notice that the introduction section doesn't talk too much about the argument of ECMAScript version.Today,again,in some groups chatting,some people says that "oh,god,you can't call ECMAScript 2015 as ES6" or "are you kidding me?There is no ES7,ES8,there is just ECMAScript® 2017..." ,etc.

Sorry for that I can't show you a screenshot because they don't speak English.But there was one argument I saved before.And there are many arguments on stackoverflow,twitter or blog comments like this.

But I thinks it's a really insignificant when we talk about the technology of js.And it will make both unpleasant.

So,could we add some declaration or comments to the specification to tell people that don't put their focus on this?
