The majority of Defend Against Fruit has been co-developed by James Carpenter and Matthew Tardiff, but many others provided considerable assistance. The contributions of everyone involved are listed below. The names of most contributors have been changed to Monty Python Flying Circus characters to protect their identities.

Proprietary details were scrubbed before publishing to GitHub, consequently early commit history has been intentionally omitted from the GitHub hosted repository.

Matthew Tardiff

  • Python language champion. Without Matthew's help, learning Python would have been more time consuming for everyone involved.
  • Pair programmed most of Defend Against Fruit with James Carpenter
  • Without Matthew's earlier success building automated continuous integration tests, we wouldn't have a large enough Python code base to justify building Defend Against Fruit.
  • Independently invented an elegant PyPI proxy which allows Artifactory to treat pypi.python.org as a remote repository.

  • Authored the virtualenv bootstrap code in the daf_fruit_orchard module.
