outstanding issues:

  • if loaded while playing existing clip, play position, loop points, etc are confused
  • not sure what the best default behavior is here

just curious, have you compared this with before / after behavior of norns PR 958?

oh no, the weird issues are due to mlr loop point stuff. totally unrelated to buffer load times.

that said, the worker threads should allow for some very transparent buffer changes (i think?)

yeah, no pressure just seemed like a good test case:

  • do you notice dropped/missing events while loading, after the patch/before?
  • are stereo files handled correctly?
