How We Analyzed State's Coronavirus Testing Plans

This repository contains the data for the states that provided their COVID-19 testing guidelines.

Our methodology on how we collected and categorized the data can be found at "How We Analyzed States’ Coronavirus Testing Plans"

The data can be found in the data folder.

Data

The column names we use and their description:

Column Description
state Name of State
document_link Link to complete document
document_date Date of document
group Group being tested
additional_criteria Any additional requirement group has to meet to be tested
fever Indicates if a fever is required
symptoms_conditional Describes whether both fever and a respiratory illness are required or if it's at least one symptom
lower_respiratory_illness_requirement Describes lower respiratory illness requirement
negative_influenza Indicates if a negative influenza test is needed
guidance Guidance on the type of test
symptoms_notes Additional notes on symptoms
criteria_notes Additional notes on criteria
