Rich Harris has pioneered a few things (Rollup), but this particularly project is actually, gasp, a bit of a fresh take on building client side projects in JavaScript:

I know it's been awhile (Oct 26, 2016), but I'm still listening to you, Jerrod. :)

hey! thanks for nominating me @netaisllc. @jerodsanto yeah, sounds fun! We're in the final stages of launching Svelte 3 which is a ground up rethink, so there's a ton of (we think!) interesting stuff to talk about
