Find and Replace Characters

Commands to find and replace special characters with their unicode version. Useful for removing special characters from HTML emails.

AppleScript

This is set up to run in TextWrangler on whatever file you have open. Once you run it, it will find and replace all the listed special characters automatically, then save your file.

Dreamweaver

To use these commands in Dreamweaver -

1. Download commands to computer.
2. Locate your command folder. This will vary depending on your computer and the version of Dreamweaver you are using. Some examples: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS6\configuration\Commands C:\Users(user)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC 2014.1\en_US\Configuration\Commands
3. Restart Dreamweaver.
4. These will appear under the Commands menu now.
